Madness – Driving in my car

El grupo británico Madness es conocido por éxitos como One step beyond, It must have been love u Our house.
Entre su discografía encontramos una canción Driving in my car, que fue editada dentro del single de mismo nombre en Julio de 1982. Estuvo 8 semanas en las listas británicas, consiguiendo un cuarto puesto en las mismas. Se trata de una canción dedicada al Morris Minor de segunda mano que utilizaba la banda en sus primeros años para desplazarse a los conciertos, antes de alcanzar la fama.
Todo un canto a los coches de segunda mano, con una entradilla de lo más “automovilística”, y en cuyo videoclip no sólo aparecen los propios Madness como mecánicos, sino también los miembros del grupo Fun Boy Three. La banda, por cierto se permitió alguna licencia, ya que aunque la letra dice que su coche se fabricó en Tyne, en realidad ese modelo se producía en Cowley, Oxfordshire.
