Lottery Singapore – Singapore’s Only National Lottery Operator

Lottery Singapore is the country’s only national lottery operator. It operates three different types of lottery games, 4D, TOTO and Singapore Sweep. These games are not only fun, but also easy to understand.

To play Lottery Singapore, you need to select six numbers from a pool of 49. You can opt for bonus numbers to increase your chances of winning. The minimum price of a single ticket is $1, including GST. However, you can pay more to get additional privileges.

The results of Lottery Singapore are announced every Wednesday and Saturday at 6.30 pm. You can find them online or at any of the 300 outlets operated by Singapore Pools.

Singapore has been a pioneer in the fight against gambling addiction and has implemented several measures to curb problem gamblers. In the last financial year, sums bet on lotteries and sports increased 40 per cent from the previous year.

Punters are warned about asking friends to make their bets for them. This could result in the winnings being given to someone else.

A woman who thought she had won $200,000 in the 4D lottery lost her prize when the friend whom she asked to buy the tickets ran off with her money. She shared her story in a closed Facebook group to warn other punters about the risk of asking others to make their bets.

The Tote Board, a statutory body that governs lottery operator Singapore Pools and the Singapore Turf Club, which runs horse races, said it was aware of the increase in bets on lotteries and sports. A spokesman said the sums bet on lotteries and sport in the financial year ended March 2022 were up by 40 per cent from the previous year.
